Types of Laser for Bells Palsy

When most people think of lasers, they picture intense beams of light cutting through metal or burning a hole in the fabric. However, lasers can also be used for more gentle treatments, such as therapy for Bell's palsy.

Bell's palsy is a condition that causes paralysis on one side of the face, and it can be caused by damage to the facial nerve. Laser therapy can help to reduce inflammation and promote healing of the damaged nerve. There are two main types of laser therapy that are used to treat Bell's palsy: low-level laser therapy and photobiomodulation.

Low-level laser therapy involves using a low-intensity laser to stimulate blood flow and reduce inflammation. Photobiomodulation uses a higher-intensity laser to penetrate deeply into the tissue and promote cell regeneration. Both types of laser therapy have been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of Bell's palsy, and they can provide long-term relief from this condition.
