What are Shingles?

Shingles are small, rectangular pieces of material that are used to cover the roofs of houses. They are typically made of asphalt or fiberglass and are available in a variety of colors. While they are most commonly used on sloped roofs, shingles can also be used on flat roofs. One of the benefits of shingles is that they can be installed relatively quickly and easily.

In addition, shingles are relatively inexpensive and require little maintenance. However, one downside of shingles is that they have a relatively short lifespan and will need to be replaced every 20-30 years.
