Who is Prone to Trigeminal Neuralgia:
Understanding the Risk Factors

Trigeminal neuralgia can affect individuals of all ages, but certain factors increase the risk of developing this condition. Women, especially those over the age of 50, are more prone to trigeminal neuralgia. Additionally, individuals with a family history of the condition, multiple sclerosis, or other neurological disorders have an increased risk.

Previous facial trauma or dental procedures can also be contributing factors. By understanding these risk factors, individuals can be more vigilant and seek early medical intervention if they experience symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia.
