Rotator Cuff Tears Management And Treatment

Mild tears in the rotator cuff may respond well to traditional treatment methods like physical exercises and rehabilitation combined with medications. By strengthening the shoulder muscles along with the other nonsurgical method like using an arm sling and some steroid injections, the tear may heal but it may take a long time for it to get better.

However, in severe cases, surgery may have to be performed as the tear won’t heal on its own. If all the other nonsurgical methods don’t work, the next option is surgery. Good thing, though, that in the recent years, laser treatment has become a popular choice for rotator cuff tears. It has saved countless patients from having to go through surgery.
